GRU Awarded RP3 Diamond Designation The American Public Power Association has awarded GRU its highest honor, the RP3 Diamond designation, recognizing our commitment to reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement. This is the third time GRU has earned this prestigious award, which is granted every three years. "To earn it, GRU had to prove it follows the best industry practices and meets the highest standards," said Tony Holstein, Utility Project Team Leader III. This rare distinction sets GRU apart. Of the 91 utilities honored in 2024, only 38 achieved Diamond level, reinforcing our dedication to excellence in public power.
