Payment assistance program

Through voluntary donations from GRU customers and employees, we assist the elderly, handicapped and those in financial hardship due to illness.

Get Help Paying Your Bill

• Call United Way of North Central Florida's 2-1-1 helpline.
• You will be referred to one of the agencies that distribute Project SHARE funds: the Salvation Army, Catholic Charities or Gainesville Community Ministry.
• Preference is given to those at least 60 years of age or those who are disabled and unable to be self-sufficient.

Support Project SHARE

• Make a one-time or recurring monthly gift through your GRU bill.
• Make a one-time donation by calling Customer Service at 352-334-3434 during regular business hours.
