Join us for Community workshops to discuss Gainesville’s future power needs
The first workshop will define customer issues and concerns, and discuss fuel
source options available to meet the needs. The majority of the workshop will
be devoted to small group discussion, and the gathering and presenting of public
opinion on how to meet future electric generation needs. Due to limited seating,
persons wishing to attend the free workshops should call (352) 393-1032 to make
a reservation or email us1.
The second workshop in the series will be held in October, also at three different locations on three different dates, and will build on the results of the first workshop.
Our purpose in presenting the workshops is to exchange information with the
public. We have provided several ways for people to get information or contribute
input. Those wishing updates should call our dedicated Future Power phone line
(352) 393-1036 for recorded information, or continue to visit this Web site
for updates. If you cannot attend the workshops but would like to provide input,
you can email us1 directly, or leave us a message at our Future Power phone line, 393-1036.
