Map Features

Get acquainted with the outage map capabilities.

Top Banners

Red – Shows special events and notices.

White – Shows the legend for different event impacts.

• – Small event, 1–50 affected
• – Medium event, 51–500 affected
• – Large event, 501+ affected

Grey – Shows the summary statistics for currents.

• Active Events
• Customers Affected
• Timestamp showing the map’s last update
• New data is processed every 15 minutes
• Refresh the page to retrieve the latest information

Map Panels

Open panels in the lower-left corner to access more information.

Icon	Feature	Detail
	Event and Detais	Provides a chronology of map events with related information on each event
	Table View	List current map events in tabular form
	Layers	Enable other map layers to display weather information, observations, and the GRU’s electric service boundary.
	Basemap	Adjust the underlying map to alter the map presentation.
	Info	Show the legend symbols and their definitions

Social Sharing

Click on the sharing icon in the top right to share the map on different social media platforms.

Using the Map

• Point or click on an Outage symbol to see more info
• Zoom In/Out by,
• Use mouse wheel to Zoom In/Out (desktop computer)
• Pinch and zoom the map with two fingers (touchscreens)
• Use the Zoom (+) or minus (–)
• Hold & Drag the left mouse button to Pan or use two fingers with 
• Click on the Find My Location Icon to focus on your GPS position. If you get a prompt www.utilisocial.io wants to know your location, click Allow.
